The short answer is that there no way to know for sure. It is possible that there will be snow on the ground. However the weather is likely to be nice in October and many hotels and restaurants offer discounts in the “off-season”. If your travel plans are flexible and you can keep an eye on the weather, you could have a great trip!
Considering a trip to the Sun Valley/Ketchum area in mid-October. Can anyone advise if this is too late in the season for good hiking? (Without snowshoes!)
